Review

I was searching for a leave-in spray and came across this product, so I decided to try it out. Because my hair is highly porous, I generally use leave-in sprays post-wash. After reviewing the ingredients and testing the spray, I want to provide my honest feedback.

Breakdown of the components in the Angel Fantasy Party Goddess Spray
This product includes a range of moisturizing ingredients like Glycerin, Propylene Glycol, Marine Collagen, and Lactic Acid. Lactic acid functions not only as a moisturizer but also serves as a cleansing ingredient and a dandruff-fighting agent.
All ingredients up to Parfum (Fragrance) are present at or above 1%, with the remaining ingredients below 1%. All moisturizing ingredients appear before Parfum (Fragrance), suggesting that the product prioritizes intense hydration, which promotes hair elasticity and softness.
The product includes Sunflower Oil, a triglyceride that helps to replenish the lipid layer between the hair’s cuticle and cortex.
The spray also features lanolin, a fat obtained from sheep’s wool, known for its exceptional moisturizing and nourishing qualities that promote soft, hydrated hair. It also offers protection against environmental influences. Lanolin is derived from sheep’s wool, and its extraction involves the shearing process, which is generally considered humane. Many cruelty-free brands include lanolin in their hair sprays and other products, claiming that their ingredients are sourced ethically and without animal testing. According to Dancoly Cosmetique, their products, including this spray, are not tested on animals and are cruelty-free. As long as ingredients like lanolin are obtained ethically, their hair spray is likely to be cruelty-free.
Both Lanolin and Sunflower Oil act as emollients, providing essential nutrients to the hair. The placement of both ingredients prior to Parfum (Fragrance) suggests they are present in significant amounts in the hair spray.
Vitamin E in the spray ingredients helps maintain a healthy scalp by reducing dryness and irritation, while also supporting the overall hair health.
The product includes occlusive or film-forming agents such as Amodimethicone, which enhances shine, reduces tangling, smooths the hair cuticle, and protects hair from external aggressors. However, it primarily improves hair appearance without significant therapeutic benefits.
Amodimethicone as a component also offers some degree of thermal protection. Nonetheless, this spray does not appear to be formulated specifically as a thermal protection spray. If thermal protection is a priority, consider using a product explicitly labeled as heat protectant.
Do the spray’s ingredients meet the producer’s promises?
The producer claims that their hair spray locks in moisture, resulting in tangle-free, easy-to-style, and silky smooth hair. The producer’s claims are accurate because the spray includes occlusive or film-forming agents that lock the existing moisture inside the hair by creating a protective layer around it. The occlusives in the product also help enhance shine, minimize tangling, and smooth the hair cuticle.
The producer also guarantees that the hair spray will immediately hydrate and revitalize hair. It is indeed true that the spray includes highly concentrated moisturizing components that deeply hydrate hair.
My individual insights regarding the Angel Fantasy Party Goddess Spray
My hair is characterized by high porosity and a gentle wave. Usually, a leave-in spray is used following a hair mask, and in cases of severely damaged, porous, or bleached hair, additional leave-in oils and creams may be necessary after the spray.
Once I washed and towel-dried my hair, I used the spray starting from the ends. I parted my hair into four or five sections and, carefully working through each strand, sprayed from around 30 centimeters away. The hair became smooth, silky, shiny and more manageable. I also found the fragrance of my hair after using hair spray very pleasant.
